A mission to stop the invader.
New tents in Independence Square,
Gone dismantled symbols,
Flowers stuck in metal shields.
Spontaneous pilgrimage,
Pink carnations, dutiful prayers,
For those killed in the clashes.
‘We will defend the nation’ say
Kids in home-made body armours.
Fighting for a change,
Fighting to own their father’s land,
‘We’re staying until the end’.
